The Team: The UK Finance team is responsible for the performance reporting and financial controls of all of Morningstar`s business operations within the UK. The team is tasked with invoicing our clients, paying our staff and suppliers, implementing controls, reporting on business

The Role: Morningstar UK`s Finance team seeks an enthusiastic and results-driven Accounts Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment for a fixed term period. This role involves preparation and distribution of sales invoices and related debtors collection activity, management of bank accounts and other accounting support to the financial accountant. This position is based in our London office.

Responsibilities+ Prepare, review, and distribute sales invoices.+ Deal with client sales invoice queries.+ Contact clients via e-mail or phone to arrange payment of invoices.+ Participate in monthly staff meetings to deal with overdue client debts.+ Liase with compliance group to ensure all exchange activities invoiced.+ Support other projects and tasks for the U.K. Finance team.+ Assist in processing accounts payable transactions for our Real-Time Data services.+ Assist the Accountants in month-end activity relating to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Requirements+ Some accounting experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.+ Some credit control experience with direct client contact.+ Superb organizational, multi-tasking, and verbal/written communication skills.+ Proven ability to explain and resolve issues.+ Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as accounting software and new software systems.+ Part-qualified or relevant experience is required.

Contractors / labourers required

We are looking for personnel, who are either self-employed or contractors, to assist on a temporary project that will last approx. 6  - 8 weeks. The project involves the installation of vinyl graphics on the interior and exterior of a building and will be starting at the beginning of March 2012.

Experience of vinyl application is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.

The project will be undertaken within a high security area and you will need to be based in the SE England. Security checks will need to be undertaken and you will need to be able to pass these to obtain a security pass.

You are able to fulfill, and prove, the following –

Be able to gain CRB clearance

You must have a BIA qualification and have worked in a similar role. The role would be expected to take up 7 hours a week, but if it was over this more hours could be claimed for. Requirements for the role would be as follows; 1- Liaison with legal services as required to ensure adherence to statutory requirements for DOLS 2- Co-ordinate a bi-monthly Best Interest Assessor meeting to ensure that all BIA's are competent and have up to date knowledge 3- Distribute case law updates and good practice guidance as required 4- Available to Best Interest Assessors for advice Mon - Fr 9:00-5:30.
